About Me

I’ve been trained in a few different traditions. One is mainstream: academic psychology. I received my BS magna cum laude from Tulane University in Cognitive Science, my MA from Columbia University in Social Organizational Psychology, and I am currently a doctoral student in in Organizational Behavior at UNC Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. I have had many, many wonderful teachers along the way who have supported my growth and development as an academic and as a scholar, at each of those institutions.

The others traditions are less mainstream, but arguably more important. You might call them personal growth, developmental work, inner work, or spiritual work. I began practicing meditation in 2011, studying first with Keith Porteous for 3 years, and then with Soryu Forall over the course of 5 years. I began practicing Circling, a relational group practice, in 2016, and I have facilitated numerous Circling workshops and retreats. In 2018 I met my primary teacher, Kraye Grymonnt, and I have trained with him ever since.
